Early Childhood Education and School Readiness
| Quality early childhood education programs provide children with the experiences necessary for developing the social, cognitive, language, and literacy skills essential for school success. The RMC-Austin team is committed to designing research projects and early childhood programs that enhance the school readiness of young children and build the capacity of early childhood educators to provide all children with equal access to high-quality instruction. RMC-Austin staff members have experience serving on federal advisory groups and participating in numerous research projects related to early childhood development and school readiness, including the Head Start Impact Study, the Head Start Family and Child Experiences Survey (FACES), the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study, and The National Children’s Study. |
